Probably the most important thing about Charles is that he's dead, a ghost, has been for a long while.
The other most important thing is that he loves his friends. He's literally gone to hell and back for Edwin (and would do it again, no questions asked) and has bashed a demon in the face for Crystal (and would definitely do that again) and while Niko hasn't needed any of his particular skills just yet, he'll be there for her too as soon as she needs him.
He is also available in hellhound flavor
